Since the year 2000, the Jordan Nu Retro 1 has been supporting the Jumpman banner's lifestyle collection that is not in the retro vein. The embossed ensemble recently joined Nike's fascination with "Panda" color blocking.
While its pristine white vamp and jet-black nubuck mudguard appear to be a nod to the Air Jordan 1 '85 "Black/White," the low-top silhouette's remaining real estate embraces its own monochrome style. The flat texture of the forefoot extends throughout the mid-base, foot's heel, and tongue construction, while the smooth leather heel counter mimics a pitch-dark color match. Elsewhere, the pair of embossed panels with the legendary winged Jordan symbol appears in a famous white finish alongside the midsole, while the tread closes with a Jumpman trademark ice blue tread accent.
