With summer nearly over, Nike has largely abandoned the vibrant and colorful in favor of the dark and understated. This is especially true for the Dunk Low, which has recently appeared in the "Purple Ink" hue.
Originally misidentified as Navy, the suede overlays on this Nike Dunk Low are totally clothed in the namesake "Purple Ink." The tumbled leather Swoosh and heel tab, as well as the speckled outsole, are all the same color as the textile base, which contrasts in the same black as the nearby midsole and tongue. Lastly, a new set of branding completes the look: a single Swoosh adorns the tongue label, a blacked-out "Nike" emblem paints the insole, and new typefaces embroider the shoe's spine.
