Air Jordan 4 “Fear” Release Postponed to November 16th

Jordan Brand has rescheduled the highly anticipated release of the Air Jordan 4 “Fear” to November 16th, 2024. Originally part of the memorable 2013 “Fear Pack,” this re-release will come with an MSRP of $215 for adult sizes, along with Grade School ($160), Pre School ($100), and Toddler ($85) options, allowing fans of all ages to add this iconic design to their collections.

A Nostalgic Design

The “Fear” colorway holds a unique place in Air Jordan history. Unlike most of Jordan’s story, where fearlessness is the theme, the 2013 “Fear Pack” explored the concept of fear itself. This introspective theme made the collection stand out, with alternating insoles reading, “I’m scared of what I won’t become” and “you’re scared of what I will become.” Although images of the re-release haven’t shown these details, fans are hoping to see this original touch return.

The 2024 Air Jordan 4 “Fear” features the same gradient greyscale look that made it a standout in the original pack. Starting with darker hues on the toe, fading to lighter shades toward the heel, this tonal design became a favorite among collectors. With the Air Jordan 4’s continued popularity, this Holiday season release promises to capture the same energy as it did in 2013, especially for those who missed out on the original drop.

The Future of the "Fear" Collection

Following the 2023 re-release of the Air Jordan 3 “Fear” for its 10th anniversary, it appears Jordan Brand may be building a tradition of annual “Fear” drops. This theory suggests that a re-release of the Air Jordan 5 “Fear” could be on the horizon for 2025, aligning with its 35th anniversary. While Jordan Brand isn’t reissuing all three sneakers simultaneously as in 2013, this staggered approach is poised to celebrate each silhouette individually.

As the Air Jordan 4 “Fear” prepares to drop on November 16th, collectors and fans can look forward to snagging a piece of Jordan history that captures both introspection and innovation—an ideal close to this year’s lineup of Jordan 4 releases.
