Nike SB is preparing to release a special Dunk Low perfect for skaters in Southern California. Recently, Instagram user @sbheadsbe shared photos of this sample, which is inspired by the well-known Verdugo Mountains and showcases colors and details that pay tribute to this natural landmark.
The shoe has a “Pistachio Frost” suede base that’s praised for its high quality and resembles the color of the mountain terrain. The inner tongue tags make the theme clear, with one side showing a map and the other featuring a bike graphic in a retro font. The Swoosh is made of “Wolf Grey” leather outlined in black, and there is a touch of orange branding on the heel for added color. A “Gum Yellow” midsole and black outsole complete the look.
It is not yet clear if this release will be a one-time drop or part of a series of SB Dunks inspired by mountain ranges and natural sites, similar to the “City Of …” series from 2024. However, this sneaker is likely to catch the attention of SoCal skaters due to its local inspiration and unique design.
There is no release date yet, but the Nike SB Dunk Low “Verdugo Mountains” is expected to launch during the Fall 2025 season.
