Salehe Bembury continues to shape the footwear landscape, this time with an exciting new colorway for his Crocs Juniper line. After recently dropping the New Balance 530 “Prosperity Be The Prize,” the designer took to social media to reveal his latest creation: the Crocs Juniper in “Sudd.” Known for his wild color choices and textured, nature-inspired designs, Bembury’s “Sudd” diverges from the neutral tones of the previous “Tahini” colorway, moving back into vibrant, earthy shades.
The “Sudd” Aesthetic
The “Sudd” colorway embodies Bembury’s signature naturalistic approach with an algae-green TPU upper, accented by red and black layers on the sole that evoke a geological landscape. The color choice and rugged aesthetic feel right at home among Bembury’s nature-inspired creations and align with the unique textures and organic shapes that have become hallmarks of his collaborations. Compared to the more toned-down “Tahini,” “Sudd” brings back Bembury’s flair for bold hues and adventurous palettes, marking a return to his roots in vibrant, outdoor-inspired designs.
Increased Accessibility
After the initial release of the Juniper line’s “Guava” colorway sold out quickly through Bembury’s exclusive Beaspunge drop, Crocs and Bembury responded to demand by expanding production. This led to the wider availability of the “Tahini” colorway, which could be found not only on Crocs.com but through other major retailers. While it’s yet to be confirmed where the “Sudd” colorway will be available, fans can likely expect a similar distribution strategy, giving more people a chance to add this unique pair to their rotation.
