Swedish retailer sneakersnstuff (SNS) is set to release a special version of the Salomon XT-6, designed to handle rough winter weather. SNS made it clear that this collaboration is aimed at dealing with “sh*tty weather,” making it perfect for Nordic winters.
Built to Endure Harsh Conditions
For their first collaboration with Salomon, SNS picked the XT-6, a popular model that fits well with the current gorpcore fashion trend, which celebrates outdoor and utility-focused clothing. Unlike some of the bold and bright colorways seen in this style, SNS chose to focus on durability and subtle winter-themed colors. The upper is fully covered with Flash-X GORE-TEX, making it waterproof and ready for wet, cold conditions.
Extra Tough Details
SNS added extra strength to the shoe by swapping out the standard graphic foxing with an abrasion-resistant TPU layer. They also used strong synthetic materials on the tongue for more durability. The color scheme matches the winter feel, with shades like “Almond Milk” off-white, “Seagrass” olive, and “Wren” brown, making it stylish yet practical.
Part of a Bigger Trend
This collaboration continues SNS’s move towards tech-focused sneaker projects, following past work like their ASICS GEL-Quantum 360 VIII collab. For Salomon, this partnership with SNS is another step into the streetwear scene, following similar team-ups with brands like atmos and size? earlier this year.
How to Get a Pair
The SNS Salomon XT-6 is priced at $220, and the draw is now open on the SNS app. Any pairs that aren’t claimed during the draw will be available for purchase through the app and on the SNS website starting November 22nd.
This collaboration is perfect for anyone looking for a reliable, stylish sneaker that can handle tough winter conditions.
