Mercedes-Benz has joined forces with Sony Pictures Entertainment to bring a cinematic experience to your car with the RIDEVU app. This innovative in-car entertainment app integrates seamlessly with Mercedes-Benz’s MBUX infotainment system, offering passengers a way to enjoy blockbuster movies, exclusive behind-the-scenes content, and the latest releases during their journey.
RIDEVU allows users to rent or buy movies directly from the car and supports streaming on up to six screens simultaneously. Passengers can watch in HD quality on in-car displays or connect their mobile devices for a multi-screen experience. With an easy-to-use interface, RIDEVU is designed to make every trip more entertaining.
Future updates will include features like content syncing across multiple screens and offline viewing on mobile devices. However, the app is only available in vehicles equipped with the MBUX Entertainment Package Plus and an active Mercedes-Benz Connect subscription.
To ensure safety, drivers can only access the app through the central display when the car is parked or while the DRIVE PILOT system is activated. This collaboration between Mercedes-Benz and Sony Pictures is redefining how we experience entertainment on the road.
