“Frank” Rudy’s Legacy Is Remembered With This Nike Vapormax Flyknit 2021

The Nike Vapormax Flyknit 2021 isn't the most daring sneaker with visible Air anymore, but it still has a significant place in the company's product catalogue.

Recently, a colourful costume honouring Marion "Frank" Rudy, the man who founded Nike Air, featured the Vapormax-cushioned design.

An enclosed gas cushioning technology was proposed by a former NASA aeronautical engineer in the 1970s. His proposal made its premiere in 1979 on the Air Tailwind, but the world first became aware of it with the release of the Air Max 1. Rudy's concept is completely displayed in the unannounced Vapormax Flyknit 2021, which combines it with a breathable knit upper. The white, blue, orange and red shoes also have blueprint images on the insole and a hangtag for a pressure gauge.

There have been no official announcements on the nike.com release, but that is probably about to change. See the official photos of the couple up ahead while you wait.
