The iconic 1990 footwear designs serve as inspiration for the Jordan Stadium 90

The Air Jordan 5 was the first design in his historic line to include a translucent tread and molded foam in the upper, and it was famously inspired by a British fighter plane. This silhouette later influenced a lot of Jordan Brand's hybrid ideas. The freshly built Jordan Formula 90 is adding to the Beaverton brand's roster of crossbreed models, joining initiatives like the 6 Rings and Dub Zero.

The newest tooling from the Jumpman wheelhouse incorporates famous design cues from the 1990s, particularly the introduction of the AJ 5. Tinker Hatfield's chosen design elements then jump to the Air Jordan 1's heavily perforated vamp, while the latter's padded collars, forefoot teeth design, and netted mid-foot panels serve as inspiration for the former. Underfoot, the OG-inspired design is brought into the present by incorporating the brand's top Foruma 23 cushioning solution throughout the sole unit. The selection's suede-treated overlays, which match the "White/Sail" and "White/University Red" color blockings, further contribute to the updated style.
