Nike's Air Max 1 "The Bay" Cruises The Pacific Coast

The Swoosh is planning the potential start of a new inline collection as we eagerly await the highly anticipated return of the Air Max 1 with its original-sized huge bubbles. The newest Nike Air Max 1 combines a variety of materials and is inspired by the sights and sounds of the west coast as well as a made-up road trip, according to the Beaverton-based company.

The canvas underlays, leather mid-foot panel, nylon tongue structure, and laces are shown in a winterized ensemble with crisp white colors that are inspired by Pacific coastal scenery. The shoes are pictured in grade school sizes. Fuzzy stitching evokes the diverse fauna seen on a road trip as it moves down the vamp and finishes around the tongue encircling its "The Bay" label. The pair's suede-treated overlays are accented with ever-so-light grey tones. Tumbled leather heel counters complement the medial side checks chosen reptile feel, while the embroidered red and gold Swooshes on the mid-foot evoke the fall of a feather. The traveling outfit is completed with a classic gum tread, Nike Coast license plates coating the insoles, and silver highway hang tags.
