Sean McDowell's Nike Air Max Plus has weathered the test of time, delivering joy to Air Max lovers for the past 25 years. Although it does not appear that a 25th Anniversary surprise for the Tuned Air classic is on the way, Nike continues to release GR after GR to the delight of many.
Because there are only a few original hues of the Air Max Plus, much of the shoe's legacy is based on the fundamental design. The lava-lamp-inspired upper, full-length visible Air unit, and Tuned Air cushioning unit combine to create one of the most striking Nike running shoe designs in history. The Air Max Plus is not quite at the level of the Air Max 95, but it is in the high tier just below it.
