Every summer in Augusta, Georgia, Nike's Elite Youth Basketball League puts the greatest high school basketball players in the country against one another. The sweltering hot gyms serve as a preview for the brand's premium on-court toolings, such as the recently launched Nike Ja 1 "EYBL," and are a must-see destination for collegiate coaches each season.
While a first glimpse in March revealed a mismatched purple and yellow combo, official images show that the latter has been replaced with a fitted "Melon Tint" color that consumes both the left and right foot's uppers. The cantaloupe-like hue is immediately complemented by jet-black contrasts that define the EYBL badge and serve as a foundation for the opposing purple and teal tongue logos. The collar lining and speckled midsole serve as a springboard for the "Rush Fuchsia" Swooshes and marbled heel design, completing the pair's pastel-infused palette with the aforementioned teal tone returning to outfit the front half of the sole unit.
The Nike Ja 1 "EYBL" is scheduled to come in the next months for $120. Meanwhile, take a closer look at the duo below.
