The Supreme x Nike Air Bakin, which was confirmed back in January and recently made its debut, is one of the streetwear brand's first seasonal collaborations. It will release this Thursday, March 2nd, in not one, but two colorways.
Supreme has a history of working on Nike's less well-known products, essentially giving them a new life, from the Zoom Streak to the Air Max 98 TL. The next shoe to get this treatment is the Air Bakin, which was formerly worn by people like Tim Hardaway and is now decked out in fresh colors and less contentious branding.
Each of these shoes has "NYC" stitched across them with the same flame-inspired motif that was unique to the original. Miniature Swooshes can be seen in other places, and the words "Nike Air" and "Supreme" are situated across the tongue/pull tab and insoles, respectively, before coming together. All of this is present on both pairs, albeit it has been freshly painted to match either the "Triple White" or gradient-accented color scheme.
