The GEL-NYC is a collaboration between ASICS and Awake NY that combines design cues from the brand's Gel-cushioned range for a contemporary lifestyle offering blended with nostalgic looks. Following its debut in December, the somewhat conservative silhouette is now embarking on an eye-catching greyscale composition.
The latest version features an "Ivory" base layer contrasted with brushed silver metallic overlays and a darker suede mid-foot logo from the Awake NY collaborative collection. The surrounding pitch-dark panels accentuate the worn tooling along the mudguard and quarter with jet-black clarity, while the split "Clay Grey" and cream midsole adds a lighter touch to the monochrome-dominant outfit beneath foot.
The ASCICS GEL-NYC "Black/Ivory" is set to hit stores later this summer for $130. Meanwhile, take a closer look at the duo below.
