The 9060, as one of the newest additions to New Balance's nostalgic-heavy archives, has immediately explored a diverse spectrum of textures. The Y2K-inspired solution just added another material to its growing roster of installations with a dominant use of hairy pony-like suede.
The luxuriant design sprouts throughout the overlays of the pair, encircling the mid-foot N logo and flat suede tongue construction. The surrounding suede panels and mesh base layer add to the jet-black attractiveness. The ABZORB cushioning system adopts a serene neutral-based palette in stark contrast to the pitch-dark upper, while a greyscale tread smoothes things out underfoot, juxtaposing its expanded sole unit even further.
