NIKE, Inc. released a variety of special projects around the turn of the century. The co.jp (Concept Japan) effort, for example, imagined classic silhouettes via a region-specific viewpoint.
The Nike Dunk Low received a few special makeups via the co.jp platform, pairs that had previously been unavailable globally for 20 years. The Swoosh has revisited select models to launch them globally for the first time as the silhouette has become one of the most popular around the world. Color schemes such as "Plum" and "Brazil" were widely released in 2020 and are expected to reappear in 2024. While similar retros are popular, the reappearance of the co.jp "Brazil" Dunks is unusual given how crowded the market has gotten with the Nike Dunk. If the reports are genuine, the re-release would coincide with the design's 40th anniversary, which will almost certainly see the re-release of several famous color schemes.
