The Nike Kobe 8 Protro, known for its airy full-length Lunarlon cushioning system and exceptional on-court traction, will add the renowned "Venice Beach" colorway to the silhouette's recent resurrection in 2024.
After the announcement that Nike will relaunch the late Kobe Bryant's brand on Mamba Day, August 24th, with the Kobe 8 Protro "Triple-White," Bryant's celebrated eighth signature will return in its inaugural OG colorway in Summer 2024. The explicitly titular colorway, first introduced in 2013 in association with the sandy Venice Beach some weird 16 miles away from the formerly known Staples Center, returns its multi-color utilization of teal, red, yellow, and silver throughout the mesh upper. The model's signature TPU heel counter is turquoise, while the medial yellow Swooshes and vivid orange sock liner stand out against the greyscale backdrop of the heel.
The Nike Kobe 8 Protro "Venice Beach" is set to be released in Summer 2024 for $180. In the meantime, check out the images below for a closer look at the first colorway from 2013.
