2025 is shaping up to be a monumental year for Jordan releases, with high-profile drops like the Undefeated Jordan 4 and a fresh take on the Air Jordan 1 “Shattered Backboard” already generating buzz. But as sneakerheads look forward, one under-the-radar release is drawing intrigue: the Air Jordan 1 High “Rare Air Cinnabar,” expected to release in April 2025.
The “Rare Air Cinnabar” forms part of a special collection that includes not only this Air Jordan 1 but also a “Game Royal” colorway and recently teased “Rare Air” editions of the Air Jordan 3 and Air Jordan 4. Together, these releases bring a fresh look to classic Jordan silhouettes, incorporating vivid red and blue tones in distinctive ways. One key design feature stands out across the collection: unique branding variations. In the case of the Air Jordan 1 “Rare Air Cinnabar,” this is most visible in the dual Wings logo, appearing on both the lateral and medial sides. In a first for the model, the medial Wings logo includes the words “Nike Air” rather than the traditional “Air Jordan,” emphasizing the collection’s homage to heritage with a twist.
Design details don’t stop there. The “Rare Air Cinnabar” is crafted with single-stitch accents, two sets of terry cloth laces, and a raw suede Swoosh. As for color, the base draws from the classic “Neutral Grey” palette, while “Varsity Red” accents and an off-white vintage-style sole add a timeless look with subtle modern touches. Sneaker artist and designer Ev Bravado, from Who Decides War, offered an exclusive first look at this collection at New York Fashion Week, customizing both the “Cinnabar” and “Game Royal” colorways and signaling their official release for 2025.
Currently, the Air Jordan 1 High “Rare Air Cinnabar” is anticipated to drop in April 2025 at a retail price of $180. Stay tuned as more updates emerge on this unique addition to the 2025 Air Jordan lineup.
