HAL Studios, an Australian creative house, has partnered with ASICS to release another special version of the GEL-Kayano 20. This follows the “Malt” colorway that came out in late October 2024. Now, the new “Bone” colorway will be available on November 14th.
Inspired by the Space Age
The design of the HAL Studios x ASICS GEL-Kayano 20 takes inspiration from the space age era of the 1950s and 1960s, featuring clean lines and futuristic materials. To add a modern twist, HAL Studios replaces the usual laces with three hook and loop straps, making the shoe easy to adjust and wear.
Materials and Design
The shoe is built with an open mesh base and overlays made from pebbled recycled leather. The “Bone” colorway keeps it simple with a white base and midsole, contrasted by black overlays for a bold look. Despite the design changes, the GEL-Kayano 20 keeps its original tech features, such as the TRUSSTIC support system for stability and a GEL midsole for shock absorption and comfort.
Release Details
After a showcase at Hong Kong’s Hypefest, the HAL Studios x ASICS GEL-Kayano 20 “Bone” will be released online at halstudios.net on November 14th. The price is set at $200, so be ready if you want to add these to your collection.
