Kyrie Irving is releasing a special version of his ANTA KAI 1 Speed shoes, called “Young At Heart,” on November 16th. This new design is a tribute to his father, Drederick Irving, who is also connected with ANTA. The idea behind this shoe is that staying active and passionate about what you love keeps you youthful.
The “Young At Heart” colorway features bright green and orange to represent energy and living life to the fullest. These lively colors are balanced with a brown upper to complete the look. The inspiration comes from the belief that people don’t get old because of age, but because they stop playing and enjoying life.
Drederick Irving shared, “Basketball has always been more than a game for me. It’s taught me life lessons and brought me closer to my son, Kyrie. This special colorway is about staying young and loving the game. When I wear these shoes, I feel like I’m giving it my all. I want everyone who wears them to feel that joy and determination, no matter their age.”
