Why This Release is Special
The Air Jordan 9 holds a unique place in the Jordan lineup. It’s part of the original 14 Jordan models, but it’s the only one released while Michael Jordan was away from basketball, pursuing baseball. Even so, the original colorways, including the “Olive,” have always been popular with collectors. The “Olive” first came out in 1992-93 and has had retro releases in 2002 and 2012, making this upcoming release one that many fans are excited about.
Past Versions and Spin-Offs
Over the years, the “Olive” colorway has inspired several variations. In 2017, a winterized “boot” version was released for more rugged use. More recently, in 2023, the “Light Concord Olive” brought a twist to the classic look by replacing the traditional red accents with blue (cerulean) details. These spin-offs show just how much the “Olive” colorway has influenced the Jordan brand.
Don’t miss the chance to grab this iconic shoe when it hits shelves in November.
