In the final week of January, 24 of the top basketball players in the country—48 in all—were named McDonald's All-Americans, the highest distinction in high school basketball. While the late March festivities are still a month away, Donovan Mitchell of the Cavaliers is remembering his own 2015 pick with a specially designed colorway of the Adidas D.O.N. Issue #4 in honor of the impending evening in Houston.
Although the future East and West jerseys have not yet been unveiled, the East team's recognizable blue foundation features the on-court characteristic silhouette. The base of the shoes is cast in "Team Navy" with dazzling baby blue and jet-black accents, while the flat laces, sock liner, and tongue trim are in "Royal Blue" tones.
A marbled aesthetic mixes crisp white tones along the heel with a semi-translucent finish along the tread, joining the vivid blue assembly that spans the forefoot's sole unit and mudguard. The back half of the model is completely white, while a final wave of yellow hues touches down along the tongue tabs and mid-foot shank. The game's standard red tone is used infrequently at the lace fastening and Mitchell's name along the heel.
