The women's Air Force 1 Wild, first shown by Sneaker News in April, has finally surfaced via official photographs – so let's take a closer look.
This Air Force 1 Wild clearly cosplays as a hiking shoe suited for the ACG quarters in Beaverton, making use of proper changes that harken back to some of Nike's best outdoor performance shoes. The patterned heel clearly references the Air Humara, while the nylon toe-box and mid-panel may be a throwback to the Lavadome. Even the stitching patterns on the heel allude to many ACG designs, including the ACG Air Mada.
Aside from the looks, Nike has done an excellent job at making these useful for the harsh outdoors. The extra cushioning at the heel and the strengthened outsole make these ideal for the trail, but there's plenty of street lifestyle appeal if you want to reclaim your gorp-core look for Fall/Winter 2023.
