Despite a dismal 50th anniversary, the Nike Cortez has remained popular in the months following 2022.
The brand's iconic running footwear from 1972 recently resurfaced in a high-quality ensemble courtesy of the "World Create" platform. The idea, as stated on the insole, takes silhouettes "Designed for Sport" and offers equivalents "Crafted for Life." The latest Cortez, a women's-only release, features vachetta tan-inspired panels throughout the top. Previous Nike Sportswear items have previously had similar constructions, commanding high retail prices and offering buyers a customized sneaker experience. The profile swooshes have an elaborate pattern, and the sock liners are made of cork. The serrated sole unit in white and beige keeps things simple underfoot, complimenting the patina-ready upper.
