Nike Air Max 1000: A 3D-Printed Marvel Debuts at ComplexCon

Nike has introduced its latest innovative sneaker: the Nike Air Max 1000, a 3D-printed reinvention of the classic Air Max 1. This new model is the result of a partnership between Nike and Zellerfeld, a leader in 3D-printing technology. John Hoke, Nike's Chief Design Officer, emphasized that the Air Max 1000 showcases the brand's continuous drive to push the limits of design and technology.

What Makes the Air Max 1000 Special?

The Air Max 1000 reimagines the familiar look of the 1987 Air Max 1, which was created by the legendary designer Tinker Hatfield. Key features from the original, like the wavy lines of the mudguard and the placement of the Air unit at the heel, are maintained to keep the iconic feel intact. The upper part of the shoe looks sleek and smooth, with a small Swoosh logo delicately carved into the mid-foot area. The outsole and mudguard have detailed, ergonomic carvings that add to its futuristic look and comfort.

The Role of Zellerfeld

Zellerfeld is a German company founded in 2015 that has quickly become a leader in 3D-printed footwear. The company is known for collaborating with various creative individuals and brands, including AMBUSH, Chris Brown, and Kanye West. Their expertise in advanced 3D-printing technology brings a new level of precision and craftsmanship to footwear.

The Nike Air Max 1000 will make its debut at ComplexCon, providing sneaker enthusiasts with a chance to see firsthand how modern technology can elevate classic designs.
