Salomon and Pas Normal Studios are once again pushing the boundaries of outdoor performance wear with the launch of their SS26 T.K.O. collaboration. Rather than focusing on a single sport, the collection is built for athletes who move seamlessly between disciplines, blending cycling, running, and trail exploration into one unified system.
At the center of the collaboration is the all-new GRVL Concept shoe, a high-performance silhouette engineered specifically for hybrid terrain. Designed to handle changing surfaces without compromise, the sneaker combines cutting-edge running technology with subtle influences pulled directly from cycling culture.
The GRVL Concept features a PEBA-based supercritical foam midsole that delivers soft landings alongside explosive energy return. Underfoot, dual full-length carbon blades create responsiveness and propulsion, giving the shoe an aggressive performance feel whether on pavement, dirt roads, or loose gravel.
One of the most interesting design elements comes from the outsole. Instead of traditional trail-style lugs, Salomon and Pas Normal Studios borrowed inspiration from bicycle tire geometry, utilizing shallow 1.5mm traction patterns to maximize speed while still maintaining grip across unstable surfaces. The setup allows the shoe to transition naturally between asphalt and rough terrain without feeling overly specialized in either direction.
The technical specifications further highlight the shoe’s performance ambitions. A 43mm forefoot stack height paired with a 37mm rear section and a 6mm drop creates a modern, high-cushion platform built for long-distance efforts. Despite the substantial cushioning, the shoe weighs only 262 grams, balancing comfort with lightweight efficiency.
Fit and protection also received careful attention. An integrated knitted gaiter helps keep debris away from the foot, while Salomon’s signature quickLACE system provides fast and precise lockdown during movement.
Complementing the footwear is the RACE SKIN 2 running vest, designed to operate as part of the same hybrid system. The vest features a body-hugging fit for stability during high-speed movement, dual front hydration flasks for quick access, and a rear compartment capable of carrying a hydration bladder for extended adventures.
Visually, the collection stays true to Pas Normal Studios’ refined design language. Earthy sandy tones dominate the palette, inspired by gravel roads and dry outdoor environments, while bright yellow and sky-blue accents reference natural sunlight and open landscapes. Reflective silver-grey branding adds visibility without overwhelming the minimal aesthetic.
Speaking about the collaboration, Pas Normal Studios co-founder and creative director Karl-Oskar Olsen explained that the goal was to create products reflecting the same values that define the brand’s core cycling apparel — technical precision, versatility, and understated design.
The project also reflects a larger shift happening within modern sports culture. More athletes are abandoning rigid categories and embracing multi-disciplinary training, blending running, cycling, hiking, and outdoor exploration into one fluid lifestyle. Instead of sitting between sports, the Salomon x Pas Normal Studios SS26 collection fully embraces that evolution.
The Salomon x Pas Normal Studios SS26 T.K.O. collection is available now through Pas Normal Studios stores, selected retailers, and online platforms.
