The New Balance 550 has been available in hundreds of variants since late 2020, yet the design keeps popping up in vibrant color schemes. As an example: Unofficially dubbed "Bubblegum," a new appearance.
The next pair, like previous well-liked offerings, has smooth and perforated leather all over its top. The leather and mesh upper's consistent appearance is broken up by branding across the sides and on the tongue label in favor of a deep pink tint. The "Bubblegum" taste also animated the bottom of the tongue, the "NB" emblem on the spine, and the stability clips at the sides of the heel on the women's New Balance shoe. The late 1980s design's basketball-inspired sole unit also features a two-tone finish.
