The New Balance 9060 has been an unexpected triumph for the company, combining legacy and innovation.
Joe Freshgoods assisted in the model's successful debut in May 2022. Following releases have sparked comparable excitement, albeit the silhouette has evolved into an approachable alternative for both casual and savvy aficionados. The abundance of overlays on the upper of the New Balance sneaker has allowed for multi-colored combinations, but the NB 9060 has also seen a healthy number of tonal versions. The sneaker recently received "Sea Salt" and "Raincloud" finishes, adding to its plain, near-uniform appearance. Throughout the past year, the off-white hues have also appeared on other popular New Balances, giving easy-to-wear footwear that arguably looks better with wear. Branding and other supporting details throughout the shoe allude to the sneaker's Boston background, but the surrounding components keep things simple. Finally, the strong sole unit underfoot has an "aged" appearance that complements the rest of the design.
