Since re-entering the New Balance product roster in late 2020, the 550 has worn numerous outfits. In the process, the silhouette went from "lost in the archives" to one of the world's most popular trainers.
Steven Smith's old-school design has recently taken on spring and summer-friendly ensembles, embracing pastels and brilliant tones alike. The obsolete performance model just resurfaced in a new color scheme of white, dark blue, and purple. While the firm has not revealed the source of the inspiration for the combo, the color-blocking is similar to that seen on the NB 550. The aesthetic, worthy of the "Berry Blend" title, spans everything from branding on the tongue to traction zones underfoot in a variety of subtle but appealing colors.
